Just some quick notes here regarding new features. Anyone who uses www.KM.org will be familiar with these, but I’ll explain them anyways, just to be safe.
- Notice the “Edit” link on the link bar. You now have the ability to edit a post. This is much more important now that HTML is turned on.
- HTML is turned on! So knock yourself out! Have fun with bold, italic,
strikeoutand anything else you can think of. - Auto-linking and Auto-linebreaks. These two are explained on the posting page, but any link that you surround with [brackets] will be turned into an actual link. Note that the links must be prefaced with standard internet things like http:// or mailto:
- Skinning! That’s right, I finally put the skin code in. At the moment, there’s only the one skin, but I’m working on a couple more right now that I’ll post this week. You can access the skins on the options page.
- Anyone can now reply to journals, not just people with accounts on the site. Note that if you have an account, your replies will still be password protected (to prevent others from replying as you).
- Votes have been reset, but I haven’t actually changed the way voting is done, so people can still abuse it until I get Steve to write that code.
I think that about covers everything. As usual, if you notice any bugs or have any questions or comments, feel free to let me know about them. I’ll probably leave my journal on the front page for the rest of the week, and then I’ll put the most popular journal back up.
Edit 10/26/2005: The options page has been discontinued.

I just uploaded some skins… I’m really happy with the way “blue text” looks on Peons… check it out!

The blue text skin is great! I’ve got the hang of it, and it is better like you said. Thanks!

Scott, you are truly the helmsman. We distrust the word god of Confucianism and turn to you!
YOU!
(I mean, thanks for the updates.)
