Space Ninja

In anticipation of the Samuel L. Jackson remake of Shaft coming out this summer, my buddy and I rented the original Shaft movie last night.

Now, I am someone who appreciates bad movies. You see good movies, you’ll see bad movies, and then you’ll see movies that are so far into the bad spectrum that they become good. Examples: Barbarella, Six String Samurai, Dolemite, Strange Brew. As a result of this appreciation, I’ve seen a few select blaxploitation flicks, and they were all really really bad. Dolemite is the worst, by far, but they were all pretty bad.

Shaft wasn’t bad. It wasn’t really good, but it was fun to watch, and it didn’t suck ass. This is a decent movie! I can see them remaking this into an awesome movie! I’m totally stoked about it.
