Dear Zoe,
You are two years old, and it is absolutely crazy how much you have changed and grown lately. You’ve recently started going to Co-Op daycare, started jumping and doing somersaults, become fascinated with reading and writing, and singing and talking. You are always busy and high energy, and everyone thinks you’re adorable.

Watchmen: One Paragraph Review
Watchmen is great on two levels. If you’ve never read the comic (like Annie), it stands completely on its own as an excellent action movie with a fantastic plot. However, if you’ve read the comic, it’s more like a love letter. Certainly, there are deviations, but Snyder has a good feel for dropping the bits that don’t matter much and and adding the in-between bits that are needed to translate the story to a new format. The biggest change is the new ending, and while I think it’s a bit more conventional than the comic’s ending, it’s certainly true to the spirit of the story, and I think the original ending probably would have alienated non-comics fans. Apart from that, however, the movie is a goldmine for attentive viewers. I’ve seen it twice now, and I definitely caught some bits the second time around that I missed the first time, and I can’t wait for the director’s cut to get more behind-the-scenes information.
Zoe Is Not Looking
I’m working on Zoe’s second birthday post, but in the meantime, let me share this classic Zoe video with you. I recently uploaded a slew of videos to Flickr as part of my new year’s resolution, and I think this one is my new favorite. She’s three months old, and I’m trying to get a video of her baby babbling, but she’s decided she’s tired of looking at me, so she’s turned her head to the side and is looking at the window. But watch her eyebrows as I talk. You can tell she’s still paying attention, because every time I say something, her eyebrows shoot up!
