Everybody Pukes

The Puke

Zoe’s second monthly newsletter is late, but I have a good excuse: Everyone is sick. I stayed home from work today to help take care of Zoe so Annie could rest. Last night, Annie threw up on the floor in the basement. While trying to clean it up, I also threw up. Then, while Sean was cleaning up the rest of it, I went to pick up Zoe, who was crying, and discovered that she had spit up. Still, you know what they say about the family that pukes together…

Anyways, while you’re waiting for me to finish writing the newsletter, I uploaded a whole bunch of photos and movies, which you should go check out, including this, which is my new favorite photo of Milo.

300 Balloons

The Office Filled With Balloons

On Friday, our CEO was out of the office for his birthday. So we filled his office with 300 balloons. We got the helium tank from a place downtown, and it took about a half-hour for a bunch of us to inflate all 300. We found out that 300 balloons is the perfect amount to cover the entire ceiling of the office with a single layer of balloons. It looked pretty awesome.

Overtime and Babytime

Colorful

Sorry for all the reviews lately. I’ve been meaning to get them posted for awhile now, and this week I’m pushing a big deadline at work, so I don’t have much motivation to write anything more substantial. On the plus side, when I came home from work tonight, Zoe did something she’s never done for me before – She tracked me as I walked across the room and then smiled and laughed a little when I sat down in front of her. It was a lot of fun, and it’s got me really excited for the next few months as she learns to interact with us a lot more.

Crackdown: One Paragraph Review

Crackdown Box Art

Crackdown is a great game with one major feature lacking: local co-op. When I bought the game, I was really excited because it was clearly labeled as a two-player game. Turns out what they mean is it’s two-player over xbox live. So since no one else I know owns the game, and I’m not into gaming with strangers, the co-op mode doesn’t exist. Lucky for me, the game is surprisingly fun. Yes, it’s a GTA knockoff, but it’s done quite well. All the driving is just as much fun as in GTA, but the really cool bit is jumping from rooftop to rooftop like a superhero, and beefing up your strength until you can throw cars at people. Plus, it included an invite to the Halo 3 beta next month.
