Game PR Catchphrases: What They Really Mean

Quote: “Halo 2 is a lot like Halo 1, only it’s Halo 1 on fire, going 130 miles per hour through a hospital zone, being chased by helicopters and ninjas … And, the ninjas are all on fire, too.”

True Meaning: Halo 2 will be the single greatest game of all time bar none.

(sorry for the fanboyism, I just f*****g love that statement )

  1. Sorry to beat you to the punch, but I posted that quote back in 2002.

    http://spaceninja.com/blog/halo-2-is-a-lot/

True Meaning: I was into halo 2 back before it was trendy to like it!

Well, okay, not really – it’s always been cool to like halo 2 – but dammit, I knew it was cool BEFORE YOU, which makes me better than you. Or something. ;)

  2. I thought that sounded awfully familiar . . . I was just trying to link to the article, which is damned funny. I just liked that quote.
