Well, I finally finished pulling together the all-CSS version of the RustBucket skin. I’m very pleased with the results, and I encourage you to check it out. Ideally, you won’t noticed the difference at all, but if you view the source code, you’ll see there are no tables, and it uses a much cleaner set of CSS. Expect more skin work to come soon.
[aside: I also forgot how cool this aside: feature is. :)]
ugh
I just noticed that several things don’t display correctly under IE6, the bane of the web designer. I’ll be working on it over the next few days, I guess.
wazzat
I just compared Mozilla and IE6, and I didn’t notice any appreciable differences. Except that the aside doesn’t display anything, but it’s already known that asides and tangents don’t work in IE.
The datebar and the sidebar titles lose their background colors and white borders… But someone on the CSS-Discussion list told me how to get them to display. It (of course) involves a hack to trick IE into displaying things in a standards-compliant way.
