We just had an 3.1 earthquake! I felt one strong shake, as if something had hit the house. I went to the window, wondering if our downstairs neighbors had backed their truck into the side of the house, and heard everyone outside talking.
<scott> What was that?
<neighbors> Earthquake! Did you feel it!
<scott> *laughing* Yeah! I thought you guys had hit the house or something!
<neighbors> We thought you did it! We were like “What are they doing up there?”
Can you tell we don’t get many earthquakes around here?
Explanation
On Days of Our Lives, Rex built a machine with a big laser that was suppose to turn coal into diamonds- he put down in the caves under Salem and it was pointing at some coal deposits in the cave wall but some drunk homeless guy knocked it over so it was pointing at the floor of the cave and it started severe earthquakes. I can only assume that we also are feeling the effects of this and that I’m completely crazy.
I felt absolutely nothing. 3.1? Oh ho ho… such wimps Oregonians are! :)
We once had a 2.3 earthquake. It didn’t even affect things as much as when they get rid of old ammunition at the army base nearby. :)
