frustration

*sigh* Nothing like getting all done burning five copies of the CD containing the artwork for the crunchpod CD, and printing out 6 copies of every file for various people along the stage of the printing process, only to notice a tiny typo on one page, so you have to correct two files and burn all the CDs and reprint the copies of that page again.

Still… It’s all done now. Tomorrow I’ll get Steve to swing by the post office on our way to get sushi and then I can start breathing again.

    Got the tee-shirt
400 copies of a letter that had gone through 3 revisions and been proofread by at least 5 different people. I had folded over a hundred of them when I noticed something was wrong…

    I feel your pain, man.

just out of curiousity… what was the typo?

::only curious because I obviously missed it too:: :)

    hhahaha
nah, that would have been obvious…

I missed one of the “@” symbols. The font that I set the text in doesn’t include special characters like that, so I had to select all the @’s by hand and change them to Arial Narrow… which worked fine, except I forgot the one on the back of the CD, in the crunchpod contact info. If you look at the screenshot I posted, it’s probably still in there, but I fixed it in the files on the CD, so the final CDs from the printer won’t have this typo.

    Gee . . .
. . . and I thought all you did was sit around and push images through random filters to see if anything looks cool on the other end.

    heh
    not quite.

filters are useful tools, but they’ll never give you a design by themselves. They’re a means to an end, not the other way around.
