Josh was a friend from high school who had a macintosh with photoshop on it longer than anyone could remember. He spent a lot of time creating art in photoshop and bryce. He was always deadly serious about it, too. His art gallery was not (intended to be) a joke.

too much (nearly all) of his drawings look like when we were in kindergarten and they gave us paint and you ended up mixing all your colors together by mistake the first time you tried, and ended up with a swirly mess of brown and brown-tinted greens and blues.
and he took that and ran with it.
sigh, josh, at least when i draw a pokey comic, there is a method to my crap. (and to anyone who would laugh this off and say "no there isn’t"- you try matching pokey-quality in cleverness and consistency of theme and originality without a method.)
even if that method consists of little more than jack daniels and no-doz.

steve doesn’t use photoshop to make pokey. he uses win-paint or something like it.
