The good news is that I just got off the phone with Qwest, and it looks like my DSL is still going to be available by the original delivery date of December 6th! It’s a long, complex, boring story, so I won’t get into the details, but basically they’re doing something kind of confusing to make up for the fact that they screwed me over. But as long as they can get it up and running by the original date they gave me, I’ll be totally happy.
The bad news is that Annie’s going to have to quit Envirocorps. She posted all about it in her journal, but basically, she needs to get a new job, because being out in the wilderness planting trees all day is not good for a healing ankle. Now, worker’s comp might be able to help her find a job, so things probably won’t get really bad, but it’s definitely a complication we didn’t need right now. Keep an eye on her journal for more news about that.
